Closed
cell sponge profiles are in widespread use in
door seals
that require
greater compressibility than
that which can be obtained using solid rubber profiles. Although it has
a
tendency to tear, sponge meets the needs
of various
sealing applications, including EPDM
and neoprene compounds for automotive doors, domestic appliances and electrical
switch boards, as well as a
variety
of general
applications.
